GTronix is targeting user-interface sensory applications in portable consumer electronics products, including cell phones, wired/wireless headsets, PDAs, laptop computers and audio/video personal electronics. Within these products, the common denominator is the signal processing circuitry, which best resides near the sensor.

Micro-sensors, which combine a sensor with varying elements of local intelligence for information extraction, represent a natural opportunity. By integrating the entire sensory processing chain into a small die, APT Technology-based integrated circuits can enable next-generation micro-sensors capable of significant signal processing. Within this segment, the human machine (or sensory interface) micro-sensor market is a focus for GTronix.

Devices based on the APT Technology will enable customers to create lower-cost portable electronic products that require very fast and efficient real-time signal processing.
